Mile Long Lashes

More often than not I am asked if I am wearing false eyelashes. To me it's a funny question but also an indication that I am using some really great mascara! If you are a reader of my blog you know that I prefer to have a strong eye over a strong lip and mascara is one of the key players in making them pop. My secret is layering. I use 2 different mascaras and I layer one over the other which creates the longest, fullest lashes possible.
Here are my picks for best mascara:

BEST DEPARTMENT STORE BRANDS
WINNER: DiorShow is hands down the best mascara out there. I use it as a base and I layer over it.
SECOND PLACE: Makeup Forever was not messing around when they made this mascara. It makes my lashes look thicker and longer and bolder. I typically layer this over Diorshow.
RUNNER UP: This brush is really a clever invention. It really does reach ever single lash. Even the tiny ones in the corner! It is great for separating and never clumps.


BEST DRUG STORE BRANDS:


WINNER: Before there was Diorshow in my little world, there was Loreal. In my opinion they make the best mascara you can buy in a drug store. Voluminous is my favorite because it thickens and lengthens. I used to use this one as my first layer.


SECOND PLACE: Again another Loreal pick. Telescopic is great for separating but it also lengthens and is great for layering over Voluminous.
RUNNER UP: This is actually pretty great. I was skeptical and I think I got in a bind on a road trip and had to buy it and it turned out to be great for layering over others. It separates lashes and doesn't clump.
