Resolutions...
Well it's that time of year when people are thinking about starting anew and wiping away our mistakes of years past. It's a fresh start, a clean slate and of course the time for resolutions. So I started thinking....what will 2010 bring? This is the time of infinite possibilities...
Here are a few things I am hoping for....
Success....
Friendship...
Love....
and happiness...
I guess this year I will resolve to put myself first and seek out people and things that bring me joy...
What are your resolutions??
Whatever they are I hope you all have a happy and safe New Years Eve Celebration!!
xoxo

Fashion Icon: Natalie Portman
I chose Natalie as our Fashion Icon this week because of her beautiful spread in this month's Marie Claire Magazine. She may not be the first person who comes to mind when you think about fashion icons, but as you can see in some of the photos I have chosen, she can hold her own among the greats.
She made us love her in Beautiful girls as the innocent but wise girl next door but long gone are those days!
Natalie has transformed into full blown fashion goddess before our very eyes! She not only masters the art of sweet but conquers the art of seduction (and rocks a faux hawk like nobodies business!)

Obsessions of the Week
So my obsession of the week column is just a few things that are on my mind a the moment...
1. Paris....
Well what can I say...I have a torrid love affair with my beautiful Paris. I long to be there. I spent last NYE there and so I guess that's why it is on my mind...I have fantasies about moving there and I am plotting my return.
2. Rihanna Rated R....
This album is amazing. It is raw and completely identifiable to any woman who is trying to find her way back from a breakup of any kind. It's great for working out and just getting that girl power feeling.
3. Balenciaga handbags...
These bags are gorgeous. I carry my life in my bag so for me these are big enough to carry my stuff and also so chic. I really like this teal shade to mix things up.
4. Victoria Secret Lacie Thong...
LOVE. Where have these been all my life? They are sexy, really comfortable and are one size fits all (which basically means if you gain a few holiday pounds your underwear will still fit! ;)
5. Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert...
I read this book and just felt great after. Like the Rihanna album any girl can relate who is trying to find her way back from a breakup or simply searching for something more in life (detect a theme?) We have all had those moments when we feel like we must be a weak person for letting someone get the best of us. Sometimes we find ourselves in an unhappy situation and wonder how we got there...this book gives you hope and will inspire you to find your inner strength. (and the movie is coming out starring Julia Roberts and Javier Bardem in 2010)
6. Burberry Cashmere and Wool Trench...
This coat is a Christmas gift I got and it is something I know I will have for life. Beautifully made, incredibly soft and absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait to wear it :)
7. Mad Men...
I am having withdrawals from one of the best written shows on t.v. Will Betty really leave Don?? I am dying to know!!

A Very Merry Champagne Christmas
This year I did not get to go home for Christmas. I was actually suppose to be in Spain but that trip was also canceled (due to an unnamed flakey travel companion.) Guess it just wasn't meant to be. (Spain is being rescheduled)
Home for me is the east coast. The place where Christmas is cold and usually there is snow on the ground. This is what I expect on Christmas morning, however Los Angeles does not provide. But rather than pout that I am not with my family on this day I am chosing to focus on what I can be thankful for. (Well aside from not having to battle the travelers desperate to join their families, some of whom are stranded in airports due to snowy weather...)
Waking up Christmas morning with someone I care about, making a fabulous champagne brunch and opening all the presents under the tree :) Cheers!

Perfect Christmas Ensemble
It's Christmas Eve!! What a great excuse to dress up! What are you doing to celebrate? I am having people over for wine and Tapas. Good food, good wine, good friends! Just the way I like it :)
This dress by Halo is a perfect mix of classic and edgy. I am pairing it with these Signature report Zipper shoes (same ones on the model!) and Tory Burch Clutch. All are available at shopbop.com
Now it's a party!! Merry Christmas!!

Making Spirits Bright
With Christmas a few days ahead I am sure you have all had plenty of time to think about what is on your list this year. I know I have. I hope Santa has a better time finding this Coach Brooke Clutch than I have. It is so sparkly and perfect for the season!
I also have some major CL lust. A pair of classic, go with anything Christian Louboutins.
Well that's what the holidays are for right? Wishes?

Welcome to Glam Latte!
Tis the season of holiday giving (AND receiving! :) This is my favorite time of the year for so many reasons. Everyone seems a little happier and clothes get a little more sparkle. Make up is bolder, outerwear is a must and sweet treats are pretty (and aplenty!). It is the season of good wine, good food and good friends, and lets not forget sequins! Christmas lights glow, candles burn and hot chocolate warms us from the winter chill.
Of course the holidays are also a great excuse to shop up a storm! What's on your list this year?
It seems like as good a time as any for me to begin this fashion journey. It is something I have wanted to do for a long time and now in honor another holiday and a new year I will begin. Let's see what happens!
